If you check your profile page you can see at what place you are ranked among all the members of the site. It also displays how many points you have left until you catch up with the person ranking above you. How points are awarded? Well that will have to be another blogpost to cover the details, but scoring in the top on highscores is a sure bet. The Top Players page now displays the top 100 members in addition to the other top players.

The music in Downhill Snowboard

I get a lot of mails regarding the music that is played in the Downhill Snowboard series. Even though the name of the band is in the intro, people are having trouble finding the exact song in question. So, the short answer is:

Machinae Supremacy - Sidology 3 - Apex Ultima (mp3 download)

The part used in the game is a cut loop from the full track, and its a cover of an old C64 tune for a game called Flimbos Quest. You can listen to the origingal in the YouTube video posted below. Do not forget to visit Smarty Template Engine is new to me and sometimes time consuming - but were getting there!

The site is up and running but not available to the public. Lots of stuff to fix before we go live. Mainly theres gonna be a complete graphics and layout workover to give this place a unique feel, but theres also lots of technical details i have to work out. Those are usually what takes time!
